DiDstudio - Digital Interactive Dance
DiDstudio (Digital Interactive Dance) was founded in 2005 in Milan in order to offer to young artists a place of research, education, experimentation and production with dance and new technologies. Equipped with the interactive systems developed by AiEP, DiDstudio is a choreographic atelier for the company and a place of creative residence and study for young artists. Every year, performers, musicians and computer operators, willing to approach the complex and articulated field of interactive technology in live arts, can attend workshops and conferences about digital media, as well as dance classes and laboratories.
At the same time, DiDstudio hosts a yearly festival dedicated to the national and international most innovative projects in order to convey the artistic potentialities of new interactive software.
The circulation of the knowledge acquired by AiEP in more 20 years is DiDstudio’s further purpose, achieved through the creation of an archive for both specialists and students. The first part of this database can be consulted in iPoint, an info point on new interactive media applied to art and communication that collects the documentation of the three-years Interreg Project INnet, as well as unknown documents and exclusive interviews (www.innetproject.net/ipoint).
TEC-ART-ECO Art and technology for the environment
Tec-Art-Eco is structured on a series of travelling cultural events within the Insubrica region focused on the role of new technologies applied to Art, Science, Communications and Environmental Sustainability. Tec-Art-Eco offers three big interdisciplinary festivals (visual and performing arts, dance, theatre, music, design and architecture, photography, cinema, philosophy, literature and poetry, economy, experimental sciences and communication) correlated with productive labs, workshops and discussions with important artists and international researchers, aimed at creating a new generation of young artists and cultural operators who will have specific and innovative knowledge in the artistic and environmental fields.
Each year (2009, 2010, 2011) a fortnight-long festival will take place in one of the three partner locations (Lugano, Como, Varese).
NAO - Nuovi Autori Oggi
NAO - Nuovi Autori Oggi is a two-years project aimed at supporting young artists in the process of creating multimedia works. NAO supports young authors by offering rehearsing studios, technical equipment and tutor assistance, as well as promoting their work in foreign venues. The project is conceived and directed by Ariella Vidach - AiEP cultural association, which has been active for the past twenty years in the field of interactive performances and is now interested in sharing its own interdisciplinary know-how with new generations of artists
