Dance and Mandala Virtual reality

Exp is an interactive dance performance that uses the Mandala virtual reality System proposing a connection between body and immaterial setting. Dancers’ movements, detected by two videocameras, generate the visual effects and the soundtrack of the show, modifying in real time the images projected on a hanging screen. Body becomes a “living mouse.

The virtual scenarios, designed by Massimo Cittadini, are based on a Cartesian scheme that giudes dancer while exploring the scene. In the bidimensional spacewords, points, lines and videogame-effects float interacting with dancers’bodies, the only true creator of every chenge.
